(f) "Email this page to a friend"

(g) Affiliate program
£ 500
Encourage independent websites to link to yours. Independent websites which link to your site earn commission income when on website visitors from those 3rd party sites' links visit and then buy from your site.
(h) User registration facility
£ 200
Allow interested website visitors to register with your site for email updates and other benefits such as loyalty points.
(j) Loyalty points/credits program
£ 500
Reward frequent buyers for their loyalty. Each time a customer buys from your website, they will earn credits which can later be spent at your site like real money. This is similar to "frequent flyer miles" for your website.
(k) Referral commission program
£ 500
Reward your registered customers for referring their friends to your site. When a registered user of your site emails friends about your site using a facility on your website, then if those friends subsequently purchase from your site, the registered user earns credits for purchases made by their friends. This strongly encourages people to both register with your site, to tell their friends about your site and to encourage their friends to buy from your site.

The above prices are ex-VAT. VAT is levied inside the European Union ("EU") at 17.5%. Customers from outside of the EU are exempt from VAT.

Which options are for you?

We recommend marketing methods (a), (b) and (c) for any website. If you had a good sized mailing list and feel that existing customers are likely to buy again then a newsletter - option (d) - could be valuable for your website.

To determine whether content development - option (e) - is needed for your site, we would need to take a look at what you have now and make a recommendation. "Content development" essentially means the writing of new text, the presentation of new images and diagrams, and all manner of other material which could make visiting your website a richer and more valuable experience for your prospective customers.

An affiliate program - option (g) - is one of the most high-powered website marketing techniques. Option (g) is like option (b) with a rocket attached. While sites may be willing to partner with yours, if they receive a commission for purchases made as a result of their to your site, then they are much more likely to give you either a larger link or a more prominent placing for the link.

If your website would benefit from an ongoing relationship with visitors, then consider a user registration facility. A user registration facility is required if you are to build a mailing list and send out a regular newsletter. If users can register with your site, then you will have a database record of their purchasing activity. Therefore, why not consider offering a loyalty/credits program? That way, your customers will feel that you value their custom. The more they buy from your site, the more free purchases they can make.

Option (k) is a powerful viral marketing technique. It is admittedly a little like multi-level marketing but with just one level. If your registered users are confident enough in your products or services to refer friends, then they will be more likely to make the effort and make the referral if they receive a some reward when their referred friends buy from your site. More importantly, registered users of your site will be more likely to refer acquaintances and even strangers to your site when they are receiving a kickback for doing so. Best of all, the "kickback" is in the form of credits to buy more goods from your site. (If you would prefer to pay a cash commission in option (k) rather than credits to buy from your site, then this can be implemented for you for the same price.)

Where does your traffic come from? With such a wide array of marketing tools, customers who buy the Source United marketing package enjoy vast increases in the quality traffic directed to their website. Anyone can "buy" traffic with prominent pay-per-click and even fixed-price ads. But is the traffic relevant to the site - will the visitors buy from the site? Not necessarily. Source United website marketing methods focus on relationships formed through related websites and through your existing website visitors. In the long-term, your website will find itself at the centre of a community (or a traffic and referral "ecosystem") where a person X in search of what you are providing will find you - if not from a news site, then from a related product site, and if not from there then customer X will hear about it from a friend, and if not from there then customer X will hear about it from a site which receives a commission for sending customer X to you.

Becoming famous The basic idea is to make your website famous amongst websites and people that matter to your business or organisation. Fame requires ongoing effort, patience and attention to detail. Source United sets about making your site famous through a range of methods which partly mirror the 'real world' and which has been extended and modified for the particularities of the internet.
